Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a type of disability support service that assists people with disabilities to live independently in their own homes or in shared accommodations with others. SIL is designed to provide support for individuals with everyday tasks such as cleaning, cooking, shopping, personal care, and managing finances, as well as to help individuals develop and maintain the skills they need to live independently.

Epitome Care’s SIL services are tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual and are delivered by trained and experienced support workers who work closely with participants to ensure they receive the support they need to live independently and achieve their goals. Eligibility Assessment

To become an NDIS participant, you must meet certain eligibility criteria. To be eligible, you must be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa and be between ages 7 to 65 years old. The person’s functional capacity, support needs, and how the disability impacts their daily life are considered in the assessment process.

Planning and Meeting

Becoming an NDIS participant involves meeting with an NDIS representative to discuss your goals and needs, and develop a plan for the supports and services required. This plan will be reviewed regularly to ensure that it continues to meet your needs.

Developing Your Plan

Developing Your Plan is a process that helps individuals with disabilities and their families to create a personalised plan outlining the individual’s goals and desired outcomes, as well as the support they will need to achieve them.

Access Your NDIS Support

After meeting the first three steps of the NDIS, you can receive support to live the life you want. This support may include funding for assistive technology and therapy or personal care. By accessing NDIS support, you can increase your independence and achieve your goals.
